Televisió de Catalunya broadcasts far beyond Catalonia. Thanks to digital technology and communication satellites its broadcasts are able to reach as far as Europe and America.

In addition to TV3 and Canal 33, TVC's two digital channels, TVC Sat and TVC International, give the world a window on Catalonia, and a fascinating insight into the Catalan language and its culture. At the same time, it provides daily broadcasts to Catalans living abroad. Satellite broadcasting has allowed Catalonia to project itself on the world stage.

TVC Sat broadcasts to all of Spain, distributed on Via Digital pay television and transmitted by Hispasat, offering 18 hours of daily broadcasting.

TVC International broadcasts to Europe and America on open, digital television via Astra, offering 24 hours of daily broadcasting.
But Televisió de Catalunya's technological innovation does not stop here.

It is now carrying out ongoing trial broadcasts in Terrestrial Digital television. Testing is being done in collaboration with the Information Telecommunications and Technology Center of the Generalitat de Catalunya in order to take the lead in full digital terrestrial TV broadcasting. This is why TVC also works closely with manufacturers of digital television receivers, official organizations and training-research centers and plays an active role in the regulation and introduction of this state-of-the-art technology.
